DeNova is a modern waste sorting company. Our vision is to become the leading company in Europe for sorting complex waste fractions on our sorting lines.
A large portion of the waste that was previously sent to landfill or incineration contains materials that, with proper sorting and treatment, can be recycled. This helps reduce the environmental burden.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We sort iron, aluminum, and other metals from other waste so they can be recycled at processing facilities and given a new life. <\/p>\n

Additionally, we specialize in sorting plastic. Today, there are many different types of plastic that require different treatments depending on their composition. This makes the sorting process crucial to maximizing recyclability. <\/p>\n

DeNova is located in the former halls of DFJ, De Forende Jernst\u00f8berier, where heavy industry has been present since the 1930s. Many of the oil burners and wood stoves found across Denmark were cast at this site. DeNova took over the buildings after DFJ and has since been working on maintaining and restoring the old industrial facilities.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

When metals are recycled, there is no need to extract new raw ore from mines. This also eliminates the highly energy-intensive processing of raw ore, as metals recovered from waste can be directly reused in industries such as steelworks and aluminum production.<\/p>

Similarly, recycled plastic also reduces the environmental impact significantly. When plastic is incinerated, some types release toxic gases and greenhouse gases. Even the least harmful types only produce CO\u2082 and water vapor. However, since most plastics are made from crude oil, a fossil fuel, burning them affects the environment in the same way as any other fossil fuel combustion.<\/span><\/p>

Vores vision er at blive f\u00f8rende i Europa til at sortere enkelte besv\u00e6rlige affaldsfraktioner p\u00e5 vores sorteringslinjer. Meget af det affald der tidligere blev k\u00f8rt til deponi eller forbr\u00e6nding indeholder materialer der med rette sortering og behandling kan genanvendes. P\u00e5 denne m\u00e5de spares milj\u00f8et for flere belastninger. Vi sorterer s\u00e5ledes jern, aluminium og andre metaller fra andet affald, s\u00e5 det kan genanvendes i andre oparbejdningsanl\u00e6g og f\u00e5 nyt liv. Derudover har vi specialiseret os i at sortere plastik. Der findes i dag mange forskellige plasttyper som skal behandles forskelligt afh\u00e6ngigt af, hvad plastikken er produceret af. Derfor er sorteringsarbejdet vigtigt i forhold til at kunne genanvende s\u00e5 meget som muligt. DeNova ligger i det tidligere DFJ, de Forende Jernst\u00f8beriers haller, hvor der har ligget sv\u00e6rindustri siden 1930\u2019erne. Mange af de oliefyr og br\u00e6ndeovne der st\u00e5r rundt omkring i Danmark er st\u00f8bt p\u00e5 stedet. DeNova overtog bygningerne efter DFJ, og vi har siden arbejdet med at vedligeholde og istands\u00e6tte de gamle industribygninger. Genanvendelse N\u00e5r metaller genanvendes undg\u00e5r man at skulle hente ny r\u00e5malm i miner. Man undg\u00e5r ogs\u00e5 den meget energikr\u00e6vende oparbejdning af r\u00e5malmen, da de metaller der hentes i affald kan genanvendes direkte p\u00e5 for eksempel st\u00e5lv\u00e6rker og i aluminiumsindustrien. P\u00e5 samme m\u00e5de sparer genanvendt plastik ogs\u00e5 milj\u00f8et for store belastninger. N\u00e5r plastik afbr\u00e6ndes dannes der ved nogle plastiktyper giftige gasser og drivhusgasser. Ved de mindst skadelige plastiktyper dannes der kun CO2 og vanddamp. Men da langt det meste plastik er lavet af r\u00e5olie, som er et fossilt br\u00e6ndstof, belaster denne afbr\u00e6nding milj\u00f8et p\u00e5 n\u00f8jagtig samme m\u00e5de som al anden afbr\u00e6nding af fossilt br\u00e6ndstof.
